What is a Pregnancy Test Calculator?

A pregnancy test calculator is a digital tool that helps estimate key pregnancy dates including conception date, due date, and current pregnancy timeline. It uses the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP) and average cycle length to calculate these estimates. While not a substitute for medical confirmation, it provides approximate dates for prenatal planning. The calculator follows standard obstetric calculations where pregnancy is typically counted as 40 weeks from the LMP. It's important to note that actual delivery dates may vary depending on individual health factors and pregnancy development.

Calculation Formula

Naegele's Rule:

Due Date = LMP + 280 days

Conception Date = LMP + 14 days

Current Pregnancy Week = (Today - LMP) ÷ 7

*Assumes 28-day cycle. Adjusted for different cycle lengths by adding (actual cycle length - 28) days

  • Planning Tool: Helps in scheduling prenatal appointments and preparing for childbirth
